Physical Education Teacher
The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in directing the men’s soccer program. This role involves assisting with training methods, player development, recruitment, academic monitoring, and team logistics. The Assistant Coach may assume the Head Coach’s responsibilities when necessary and contribute to division-wide tasks within Student Life and Athletics. Commitment to University, Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), and NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Responsibilities- Program Direction:
Assist the Head Coach with developing effective practice plans, coaching and skill development, recruiting qualified student-athletes, monitoring academic success, and coordinating team travel plans. - Head Coach Role Assumption:
Assume the Head Coach role during their absence or inability to coach. - Division Support:
Assist the Division of Student Life and Athletics with division-wide tasks as needed. - Compliance:
Maintain commitment to University, GLVC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Required Knowledge Thorough understanding of the game and technical aspects of men’s soccer.
- Required Skills or Abilities Ability to effectively teach skills connected with player development.
- Education Four-year college education.
