DLS Engineering is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a full-time position supporting a geospatial customer in St. Louis, Missouri. This is an on-site position. You will leverage your full-stack Python expertise, focusing on API development, Kubernetes deployment, and modern Dev Ops practices to accelerate delivery. You’ll work with an existing code base—learning it quickly, adapting it for new use cases, and implementing features that advance mission capabilities.

Experience with geospatial systems, imagery acquisition, or geometry is a strong plus. Why This Role Is a Great Next Step:

- Develop, maintain, and improve software code and databases

- Senior-level experience developing, implementing, and leading software programs.
- Astute ability in writing test scripts, and test-driven development in an agile software development environment, where built-in automated test procedures are paramount and continuous integration of software and continuous delivery of software to the Government is the culture. Required

Education:

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field with 8+ years of software engineering experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience, OR
- 12+ years of equivalent software engineering experience

Required Experience:

- Full-stack Python development
- Building and maintaining APIs (ex. FastAPI)
- Kubernetes and Dev Ops practices to support rapid deployment and sustainment
- Proven ability to understand and adapt pre-existing code for new use cases
- Web services architecture, design, and development
- Experience in secure cloud environments (e.g., AWS Gov Cloud, C2S) Other information:
