Core Principal Engineer

Location: St. Louis

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Core Principal Engineer in Saint Louis, MO.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and lead end-to-end solution architecture for custom enterprise-level software products

* Ensure alignment with enterprise standards including security, scalability, and observability

* Lead and mentor development teams, fostering best practices in coding, testing, and Dev Ops

* Translate business requirements into scalable, cloud-native software designs

* Ensure delivery of high-quality software and adherence to design for the team you lead

* Collaborate with offshore/nearshore teams to ensure consistent execution and communication

* Partner closely with business users to understand product goals and translate them into technical solutions

* Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences

* Contribute to coding, testing, and documentation when needed

* Use AI-assisted tools to enhance development efficiency and quality

* Architect and implement integrations with platforms like Salesforce, Dynamics, and others using APIs and tools like Mulesoft or API Manager

* Build and deploy solutions in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure

REQUIREMENTS:

* Expert level experience in full-stack cloud development, enterprise architecture, and solution design in the Microsoft stack (.NET, C#, Azure, etc.)

* Extensive experience leading product development teams and managing offshore/nearshore resources

* Specific experience with AWS Step Functions, Lambdas, and other AWS Cloud tools

* Ideally, hands-on experience using AI tools to assist with code generation, testing, and documentation

* Experience integrating enterprise systems using Mule Soft, API Manager, or similar tools

* Demonstrated leadership in Cloud platforms (AWS), Frontend frameworks (Angular), Backend technologies (.NET, C#)

* Expertise in Microservices, event-driven architecture, REST/Graph

QL APIs, Kubernetes, and MACH architecture

* Familiarity with observability tools and performance optimization strategies

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management

* Product-oriented mindset with a focus on user experience and business value

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
