Job Description
Equifax is seeking creative, high‑energy, and driven software engineers with hands‑on development skills. The role involves working on a variety of meaningful projects using leading‑edge technology. This position requires working in the office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) and does not offer immigration sponsorship, including F‑1 STEM OPT support.
What You’ll Do- Design, develop, and operate high‑scale applications across the full engineering stack.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
- Apply modern software development practices such as serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
- Work across teams to integrate our systems with internal systems, Data Fabric, and CSA Toolset.
- Participate in technology roadmap and architecture discussions to turn business requirements and vision into reality.
- Participate in a tight‑knit, globally distributed engineering team.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on network, service operations, and quality.
- Manage sole project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Research, create, and develop software applications to extend and improve Equifax Solutions.
- Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to data and information.
- Actively participate in Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and other team activities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum education required).
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience writing, debugging, and troubleshooting code in mainstream Java, Spring Boot, Type Script/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud technology (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing cloud‑native solutions.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing microservices using Java, Spring Boot, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubernetes.
- 5+ years of experience deploying and releasing software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, understanding infrastructure‑as‑code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform constructs.
- Self‑starter who identifies and responds to priority shifts with minimal supervision.
- Experience designing and developing big‑data processing solutions using Dataflow/Apache Beam, Bigtable, Big Query, Pub Sub, GCS, Composer/Airflow, and others.
- UI development experience (HTML, JavaScript, Angular, Bootstrap).
- Experience with backend technologies such as Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, SOA, and microservices.
- Source code control management systems (e.g., SVN, Git, Git Hub) and build tools like Maven & Gradle.
- Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, XP).
- Relational database knowledge (SQL Server, MySQL).
- Atlassian tooling familiarity (JIRA, Confluence, Git Hub).
- Proficiency with modern JDK (v1.7+).
- Automated testing experience (JUnit, Selenium, Load Runner, SoapUI).
