Family Coach - Parent Educator Full-Time

Under the guidance of a supportive Supervisor, the Family Coach provides in-home parenting education, encouragement, and case management services to families with young children who may be at risk of abuse or neglect. You'll empower parents, build on family strengths, and help create safe, stable, and nurturing environments where children can thrive.
You’ll manage a caseload of up to 25 families
, building trusted relationships through regular home visits and individualized support plans - truly becoming a partner in each family's journey toward healthier futures.
As a Family Coach, you will:
- Build meaningful connections by engaging new families promptly and respectfully
- Schedule and maintain consistent contact with families (ideally at least twice per month)
- Conduct strengths-based assessments and develop personalized service plans
- Offer case management services and connect families to vital community resources
- Encourage involvement of other family members when appropriate
- Coordinate care with community partners and service providers
- Provide crisis intervention and limited after-hours support when necessary
- Participate in outreach efforts and represent the agency at community events
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and complete required state database entries
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in supervision, training, and staff meetings
- Uphold all confidentiality, HIPAA, COA, and organizational standards
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field plus two years of community-based child welfare experience or
- Advanced degree in Social Work or Counseling
- While not required, bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as this skill is considered an added bonus for connecting with our diverse community.
- Strong understanding of parenting, child development, and family systems
- Knowledge of trauma, abuse and neglect, substance use, mental health, poverty, and grief
- Excellent communication, assessment, and organizational skills
- Ability to work empathetically with culturally diverse families
- Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and electronic databases
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance
- Nonjudgmental, compassionate approach with strong advocacy skills
