Civil Field Technician – FTTH OSP
St. Louis, MO | Contract-to-Hire | Up to $29/hr + Per Diem + Company Truck
Telvero is hiring on behalf of our client for experienced Civil Field Technicians to support FTTH outside plant construction projects in the St. Louis area. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for permanent placement.
Responsibilities- Support underground and aerial FTTH construction
- Install conduit, vaults, handholes, and fiber infrastructure
- Assist with trenching, boring, pull string, and cable placement
- Perform fiber and coax testing
- Read construction prints, MOPs, and BOMs
- Complete daily reports and maintain safe, inspection‑ready job sites
- Operate construction equipment such as skid steers and bucket trucks
- 1–3+ years of telecom field construction experience
- FTTH or OSP fiber experience preferred
- Experience with conduit, vaults, and fiber placement
- Valid driver’s license with clean record
- Willingness to travel regionally (primarily St. Louis and Kansas City)
- Anritsu testing experience a plus
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Up to $29/hour based on experience
- Company truck and fuel card or vehicle stipend
- Paid lodging for overnight travel
- $40/day per diem
