Agape Construction Company is seeking a highly skilled Lead Trim Carpenter to join our Field Operations team. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this leadership role is responsible for the finishing phases of high-end residential remodeling projects. From custom millwork and detailed trim installation to coordinating subcontractors and mentoring crew members, you will ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to Agape’s exceptional standards of craftsmanship—while maintaining strong, professional relationships with homeowners.

Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead, perform, and oversee finish carpentry and select rough carpentry tasks at the highest level of quality
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, change orders, and field documentation; complete takeoffs and layouts
Install doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, appliances, and interior trim (base, casing, crown, etc.)
Install stair parts, handrails, routered stringers, and detailed trim components
Build and install custom millwork including bookcases, multi-piece moldings, mantel surrounds, box beams, and wainscoting
Install exterior trim, deck and porch finishes
Hang drywall and perform detailed finish preparation
Use laser or transit levels to establish accurate grades and elevations
Perform minor repairs related to painting, staining, flooring, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and taping
Review plans, specifications, and field books prior to pre-construction meetings
Prepare material takeoffs and coordinate material ordering
Schedule inspections and coordinate subcontractors to maintain project flow
Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain daily jobsite documentation including Daily Diary, Jobsite Field Book, and punch lists
Accurately record time daily using the company timekeeping system
Oversee, train, and mentor carpenters and apprentices on the crew
Comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Agape Handbook
Adhere to all safety procedures, attend required safety trainings, report incidents promptly, and actively contribute to a safe jobsite environment
QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in both rough and finish carpentry (residential remodeling preferred)
In-depth knowledge of blueprint reading and structural framing codes
Ability to independently complete takeoffs and project layouts
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical codes
Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors
Proven leadership ability with experience directing and managing crew members
Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving mindset
Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor with clients and team members
