Position Summary
As a Maintenance Technician for Lion’s Choice Restaurants, you will be responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of a variety of commercial kitchen equipment and facilities at 22 company‑owned restaurant locations. Your work ensures the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our restaurants, contributing directly to our guest and team member experience.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen equipment including Winston CVAP ovens, bun toasters, fryers, fry dump stations, ice makers, and refrigeration units.
- Handle routine and emergency plumbing tasks, including but not limited to repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
- Execute light carpentry, drywall repair and painting.
- Repair lighting fixtures, electrical outlets, and small appliances.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to scheduled timelines, such as replacement of HVAC and water filters.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; request replacements as needed.
- Respond promptly to work orders and service requests from restaurant managers.
- Maintain logs of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Coordinate with external vendors when necessary for specialized repairs.
- Respond to after‑hours emergencies when necessary.
- Technical certification or vocational training preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or commercial kitchen equipment repair.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations for food service environments.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight spaces, and stand or walk for long periods. Relocate kitchen equipment as needed.
