Now Interviewing for Full Time Security Officers!

Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. Metro Link security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and promptly notify site contacts and/or public emergency resources as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, transit areas, and perimeter points to help deter unwanted activity and identify security‑related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual conditions, and complete required patrol and incident documentation.
  • Assist with basic access control tasks such as screening entrances, directing visitors, and communicating site rules and expectations in a professional manner.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have at least 1+ years of security‑related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
