Security Officer - Evening Patrol in Saint Louis, MO

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule: Saturday 09:00 AM – 09:00 PM, Sunday 09:00 AM – 09:00 PM

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and visitor protocols, and report irregular conditions to site contacts and/or local responders as directed.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, requesting additional assistance when needed and supporting crowd management during events or peak periods.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and communicate updates to supervisors and site representatives in a timely manner.

• Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Having comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
