Security Officer - Regional Transit Flex

Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. Metro Link security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents as required by site policies.
• Assist visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and provide information as needed.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local authorities as necessary during incidents and/or emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patrols, incidents, and observations according to site guidelines.

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
