Security Officer - Armed Plant Patrol

Security Officer - Armed Plant Patrol in Saint Louis, MO – you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as chemical and petrochemical. As a Patrol Armed Officer at this location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security‑related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This role requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your duties.

You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and communication, upholding Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, utilizing training and protocols appropriate for an armed post.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, including areas with chemical and petrochemical operations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain awareness of site‑specific hazards and protocols related to chemical and petrochemical environments.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as situations require.

• At least one year of security‑related experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Minimum age 21 for armed roles.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Criminal history consideration in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
