The Leukemia & Transplant Oncology Account Manager is responsible for direct promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ products, and the development and management of business relationships with therapeutic specialists within an assigned geographical territory. The Oncology Account Manager (OAM) is an integral part of the commercial team that includes all personnel dedicated to the sales and marketing functions. The Oncology Account Manager will implement Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ marketing strategies and marketing tactics to achieve sales goals through short-term and long-term objectives.
This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Promote Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ products directly and develop/manage business relationships with therapeutic specialists within the assigned territory.
- Implement marketing strategies and tactics to achieve sales goals through short-term and long-term objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align account strategies with overall business objectives.
Required Experience
- Four-year college/university degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an effective presentation style both in person and virtually
- Ability to meet territorial travel requirements
Preferred Experience
- Post-graduate business school study or training
- Minimum of 5 years in the oncology market
- Strong clinical, technical and scientific knowledge of product(s) and applicable disease states
- Strategic thinker with experience driving a strategic account business plan
- Strong key account management experience in complex academic and community accounts
- Proven business acumen, problem solving, prioritization, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience in pediatric and young adult ALL and bone marrow transplant is highly preferred
- Product and scientific knowledge: educate physicians and health care professionals about Jazz products, including approved indications in focus areas (pediatric and young adult ALL and bone marrow transplant); respond to questions about other approved products per guidelines.
- Execution: organize and facilitate meetings, represent the company at events, manage CRM activities, and maintain ethical marketing practices.

work with cross-functional teams to align and execute on account strategies; lead as the main contact for designated accounts when appropriate. - Selling Effectiveness: promote products to physicians and health care providers; build broad, connected healthcare relationships; stay informed on industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Customer insights: gather and relay insights to cross-functional partners to inform account plans.
- Frequent travel between meeting sites
- Frequent use of computer, printer, telephone and related equipment
- Occasional hours outside normal work hours to meet business demands
- Public contact requiring appropriate business attire
