• Generate new business opportunities by compiling lists of prospective customers and developing contacts with Fortune 5000 companies, educational institutions, real estate agents, architects, and designers.
• Maintain adequate gross profit for each project.
• Call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers on the sales floor or by phone.
• Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalogs, and emphasize saleable features.
• Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Estimate delivery date to the customer, based on knowledge of vendor and delivery schedules.
• Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts.
• Work with designers to keep projects on budget and within timeline.
• Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into a computer database.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customer contacts and vendors.
• Work with Customer Service to investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
• Develop a successful pipeline that includes networking, outbound calls, and Linked In (or similar).
• Use CAD or hand sketches for small projects.
• Track discounts on used furniture.
• Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

$200.00 sign‑on bonus provided after the successful completion of 90‑day training.
