Kirkwood Florist is seeking a skilled and creative Floral Designer to join our team. This position is ideal for a design-focused professional who values artistry, attention to detail, and collaboration in a refined yet lively retail environment.

• Design and produce high-quality floral arrangements for daily orders, holidays, weddings, events, and sympathy services
• Provide professional consultations to customers, translating their vision, preferences, and budget into elegant floral designs
• Properly process, condition, and care for fresh flowers and plants to ensure longevity and quality
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient design workspace
• Assist with merchandising, shop presentation, and seasonal displays
• Prepare completed arrangements for pickup and delivery with accuracy and care
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines, particularly during high-volume periods
• Uphold Kirkwood Florist’s standards of design excellence and customer service

• Prior floral design experience preferred; training available for candidates with strong creative potential
• Demonstrated knowledge of floral design principles, including color, balance, and texture
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift floral supplies as needed
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, especially during peak seasons
