Position: FT CAKE DECORATOR
Location: St. Louis

Position Summary

As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What you’ll do
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, educate other associates on tools and resources, communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service, remain flexible to business needs, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert: Plan bakery productions, ensure consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs, follow recipe measurement instructions, work with a variety of products (e.g., decorating bags, tips, nozzles), create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items, adhere to food‑safety, sanitation, cold‑chain compliance, inventory management, and maintain equipment sanitation.
  • Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, elevate associate engagement, use handheld technology for production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality decisions, adapt to new tools, and encourage others to adopt them.
  • Be an Owner: Drive performance of the bakery area, ensure quality and date‑control standards, eliminate waste, prepare for seasonal events (holidays, graduations, family events), identify member needs, assist purchasing decisions, and resolve member issues.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Be a brand advocate, value the member experience in Bakery, model high‑quality service and products, interact with associates to understand roadblocks, and assist in training, developing, influencing, and inspiring them in a respectful, supportive, team‑oriented style.
  • Respect the Individual: Embrace differences; create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected; build strong, trusting relationships; mentor others; recognize contributions and accomplishments.

Hourly Wage Range

$18.00 to $25.00 per hour (actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage). Additional compensation may be paid in premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 months’ experience in a fresh production area.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must complete all required job trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.
