MERS Goodwill Industries seeks an energetic, self‑motivated Retail Manager to lead operations at our North County store. Position Type:
Hourly Full‑Time
• Travel: 50%
• Hourly Rate: $24.00
• Monthly Bonus: up to $500.00
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of Retail, Warehouse, or Logistics Management experience.
- Valid Missouri or Illinois driver’s license and insurance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including customer service and conflict resolution.
- Strong leadership skills – quality decision‑making, goal setting, problem solving, and employee accountability.
- Comfortable using workplace technology such as registers, scheduling, and inventory management software.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee store operations, resources, and budgets to meet or exceed goals.
- Model core values to cultivate a culture of safety, ethics, and quality.
- Supervise, direct, and train staff to perform essential functions.
- Deliver superior customer service to retain customers and resolve issues quickly.
- Coach employees on performance, including discipline through termination when necessary.
- Exercise independent judgment in daily task assignments.
- Identify and recommend high‑performance employees for advancement.
- Safeguard company property and personal information; report theft or misconduct.
- Adhere to and enforce all agency policies and MERS Goodwill values.
- Maintain efficient staffing and payroll accuracy.
- Implement process improvements to eliminate waste.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the dress code.
- Complete the Leadership Development Cohort Program.
- Perform other assigned duties.
