USA Tire & Battery Technician - Automotive
Join Walmart as a Tire & Battery Center Technician and work in both the sales and service areas of the department. Your role will be to provide safe, efficient service and to deliver high‑value outcomes for customers while collaborating with teammates to meet will‑store expectations.
Responsibilities- Team Member – Collaborate with associates to handle sales and service requests, educate teammates on tools and tasks, mentor new technicians, and communicate effectively to provide safe, efficient customer service.
- Expert – Demonstrate knowledge of safety, compliance protocols, tire & battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, and Point‑of‑Sale systems, while applying phone and in‑person selling techniques.
- Techie – Leverage digital tools to plan, drive sales, improve service experience, and elevate associate engagement using handheld technology and systems to make instant business decisions related to services, safety alerts, product information, application, and training.
- Owner – Communicate equipment, tools, and supply needs; track returns and special orders; operate cash registers; process transactions; maintain inventory accuracy and safety compliance; report TBC complaints, hazards, and problems; complete paperwork and logs; ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored per company policies; assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
- Talent Ambassador – Advocate for the brand by valuing members’ experience, modeling high‑quality service, influencing, and inspiring teammates; work respectfully, supportively, and team‑oriented while addressing roadblocks and assisting in training.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity, implementing action plans and the Open Door Policy.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by utilizing policies, data, resources, and collaboration with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; communicate progress and recommend improvement opportunities.

- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Will successfully complete all required training and assessments within the prescribed period upon hiring.
- Preferred Qualifications – Auto service industry experience; retail experience.

CompensationBase pay range: $19.00 hr – $26.00 hr
Additional compensation: premiums up to $3.00 hr in certain circumstances (schedule, facility, season, or specific work).
