The Guest Experience Associate/Bartender supports the success of the Performing Arts Center by delivering excellent guest service while efficiently operating concession sales during performances and events. This role involves preparing and serving beverages and snacks, managing cash handling procedures, and maintaining a clean, welcoming concession area. The ideal candidate will be friendly, detail‑oriented, and committed to creating a positive experience for every patron while contributing to venue revenue goals.
Whatyou will be doing:
Concession Operations:
- Set up, stock, and prepare concession areas for service before performances and events.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages, as well as prepackaged food items.
- Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws.
- Process orders quickly and accurately, maintaining high service standards.
- Follow sanitation guidelines and ensure concession areas remain clean throughout shifts.
- Monitor stock levels, recommend product orders, and run sales reports as required.
- Prepare deposits, secure cash drawers, and close out concession areas at shift end.
- Provide accurate information about performances, events, and venue amenities.
- Answer phone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor while assisting patrons.
- Keep concession and surrounding areas clean, organized, and ready for service.
- Assist with closing and resetting concession stations after events.
Skills & Experience:
- Must be at least 21 years old (due to alcohol service requirements).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for restocking purposes.
- Proficiency with computer systems and point‑of‑sale equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods (up to six hours).
- Work is primarily conducted in an indoor arts center environment, requiring the ability to adapt to varying temperatures and conditions typical of performance venues.
