Food/Beverage Supervisor(s)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide great customer service to guests with a friendly, attentive attitude.
  • Set up workstations, prepare and assemble menu items to specification.
  • Prepare recipes, stock areas with supplies, check quality of products; maintain workstation and clean as you go.
  • Closing shift: break down equipment, re‑stock, and clean.
  • Understand City Museum standards.
  • Accurately accept credit card and vouchers for payment, issue correct change and receipts.
  • Follow guidelines for payment handling.
  • Work with hot equipment (fryers, grills, stove tops and ovens).
  • Perform all duties in accordance with City Museum policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Record of Hep A vaccine or ability to receive it (as required by St. Louis City Health Department).
  • Food Handler's Safety Card/certification.
  • Good verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish good relationships with team members; positive attitude.
  • Assist guests with questions regarding the museum, including facility layout and amenities.
  • Team players, self‑motivated, enthusiastic, able to work quickly and concisely under pressure.
  • Must be able to learn and follow proper food handling procedures.
  • Must be able to work in high‑paced and stressful environments.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Arrive on time; punctuality is very important.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Available to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, climb, carry, and reach on a frequent basis.
  • Required to provide within 10 days of employment.
