Food and Beverage Front of House Team Member (18+)

Seasonal / Variable Hourly
Work ScheduleVaried hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Reports ToFood/Beverage Supervisor(s)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide great customer service to guests with a friendly, attentive attitude.
- Set up workstations, prepare and assemble menu items to specification.
- Prepare recipes, stock areas with supplies, check quality of products; maintain workstation and clean as you go.
- Closing shift: break down equipment, re‑stock, and clean.
- Understand City Museum standards.
- Accurately accept credit card and vouchers for payment, issue correct change and receipts.
- Follow guidelines for payment handling.
- Work with hot equipment (fryers, grills, stove tops and ovens).
- Perform all duties in accordance with City Museum policies and procedures.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Record of Hep A vaccine or ability to receive it (as required by St. Louis City Health Department).
- Food Handler's Safety Card/certification.
- Good verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to establish good relationships with team members; positive attitude.
- Assist guests with questions regarding the museum, including facility layout and amenities.
- Team players, self‑motivated, enthusiastic, able to work quickly and concisely under pressure.
- Must be able to learn and follow proper food handling procedures.
- Must be able to work in high‑paced and stressful environments.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Arrive on time; punctuality is very important.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Available to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, climb, carry, and reach on a frequent basis.
- Required to provide within 10 days of employment.
