The QA Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining enABLE’s food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance programs. This role ensures daily compliance with SQF, GMP, HACCP, allergen control, and regulatory requirements, supports audit readiness, and helps maintain accurate documentation and corrective action systems.
The position works cross-functionally with Production, Inventory, and Leadership and supports enABLE’s integrated workforce model through clear procedures, consistent enforcement, and practical training.
Key Responsibilities SQF & Regulatory Compliance- Support implementation and maintenance of SQF food safety and quality programs
- Monitor compliance with GMPs, HACCP plans, allergen controls, and sanitation programs
- Verify completion and accuracy of food safety and quality records
- Support regulatory compliance with FDA and applicable state requirements
- Assist with internal audits, third-party audits, and customer audits
- Perform daily facility, production, and GMP inspections
- Conduct in-process checks and product verification activities
- Review and release finished product documentation as authorized
- Identify non-conformances and initiate corrective actions (CAPAs)
- Support hold, release, and disposition of non-conforming product
- Maintain QA records, logs, and verification documents per SQF requirements
- Support document control for SOPs, work instructions, and forms
- Ensure records are completed accurately, legibly, and retained properly
- Assist with traceability, mock recalls, and recall preparedness
- Support training of team members on food safety, GMPs, and quality procedures
- Reinforce food safety expectations on the production floor
- Communicate clearly using visual and standard work tools
- Promote a positive, compliant, and inclusive food safety culture
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist with updating procedures, logs, and training materials
- Support preventive actions to reduce recurring quality issues
- 2+ years experience in food manufacturing, QA, or compliance
- Working knowledge of SQF, GMPs, and food safety systems
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work independently and communicate across departments
- Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, QA systems)
- Experience in an SQF-certified or GFSI-benchmarked facility
- HACCP or PCQI training
- Experience supporting audits and corrective action systems
- Experience working within an inclusive or supported workforce
Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform floor inspections
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
