Overview
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician with a Missouri license? If you're looking to use your skills to make a meaningful impact in the lives of shelter animals, we have an incredible opportunity at the Humane Society of Missouri's Adoption Center.
As a Registered Veterinary Technician in our Adoption Center, you will be at the forefront of providing care to animals in need. You will conduct routine exams, administer medications, and perform lab tests under the guidance of our veterinarians. You will help maintain the health and well-being of animals, especially those that are sick or injured.
Your organizational skills and attention to detail will be crucial as you manage medical records, ensure timely treatments, and contribute to the smooth operation of our examination room. You should be comfortable working in emotionally challenging settings, where your compassion and professionalism will help you thrive. Weekend availability is requested, as our animals need care every day of the week.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine examinations and diagnostics as directed by veterinarians.
- Administer medications and perform laboratory tests.
- Maintain and update medical records; ensure timely treatments and accurate documentation.
- Support the smooth operation of the examination room and assist the veterinary team as needed.
- Missouri Veterinary Technician License: RVT license required.
- Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience handling animals. - Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent. - Skills:
Excellent organizational abilities, strong internal customer service, and computer literacy.
