Job DescriptionThis is a Full-time position on 2nd Shift (2:30 pm-11 pm)
Why You’ll Love This PositionYou will get to be the face of The Missouri Botanical Garden during your shift. You may interact with Garden employees, visitors, vendors, and donors. Under general supervision, performs and maintains the internal and external appearance of the Garden. Paid training will be provided to ensure you are ready and prepared to welcome visitors to The Missouri Botanical Garden.
What You’ll Do (Highlights)- Perform general daily housekeeping duties
- Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to visitors and employees at all times
- Ensure that all recycled compost and landfill materials are placed in the correct containers
- Report all accidents, injuries, and near-miss accidents immediately to your supervisor
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces, emptying trash, and other duties as assigned
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Be willing to learn new procedures
- Present a professional attitude at all times under the scrutiny of the general public
- Meet productivity standards
- Ability to read instructions and to understand the label on cleaning products
- Ability to multitask in a sometimes fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift 30-60 pounds
- Ability and willingness to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

This position starts at $16.00 per hour.
The Garden is committed to the safety and well-being of our employees, volunteers, and guests. All staff are strongly encouraged to receive all vaccinations as recommended by their healthcare provider before the hire date. The Garden reserves the right to require future proof of current vaccination status, based on local health department guidelines. When international travel is necessary for the Garden business, staff must be able to obtain the required travel clearances, driving permits, and vaccinations for all countries where travel is required.
