Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuro Trauma Stepdown (PCU) position in Saint Louis, MO, requiring at least 1 year of critical care experience and active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Job Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting, specializing in Neuro Trauma Stepdown care,

• Night shift: 7p-7a, 4x12 schedule,

• 13-week contract,

• Patient population includes neuro and trauma cases,

• Epic EMR,

• Standard ICU-level nursing equipment used on unit,

• Floating required upon request,

• No on-call requirements,

• Every other weekend required,

• Rotating holiday coverage required,

Job Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration - no expiring certifications within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal documentation is provided,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• Minimum 1 year of recent critical care experience required,

• Neuro, stepdown, or trauma experience preferred,

• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted),

• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months,

Additional Information

• Must pass a medication and math competency test prior to assuming medication administration responsibilities, covering drug actions and side effects,

• Black scrubs required,

• Up to 5 days of RTO allowed but must be made up during the assignment,

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to local candidate rules and restrictions on consecutive contracts at this location,

• Level I Time Critical Diagnosis (TCD) STEMI Center and nationally recognized hospital with a wide range of specialty services including neurology, trauma, oncology, and burn care
