Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

• BSN completion preferred

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:
Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program:
Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 2 years but will consider 1+ year with Level I/Teaching Facility experience.
• Drains, monitoring flaps post op, tracheostomy/total laryngectomy care, tube feeding, phlebotomy, IV access, and Central Line Management.
• Telemetry required.
• Tracheostomies, Total Laryngectomies, Free Flap Monitoring, Drain Care, Tube Feeding, Wound Care.
• ENT, Plastic Surgery Unit. We care for patients with Cuffed/Cuffless Tracheostomies, Total Laryngectomies, Carotid Blow Out Precautions, and Free Flap Patients.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge and Teaching Hospital Experience.

Required Credentials: RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy:
Every other weekend required.

Other Requirements: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted eduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
