Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Telemetry night position requiring EPIC experience and a MO or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care hospital on a Medical Surgical Oncology Telemetry unit
- Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19:00 to 07:30
- Typical patient ratio is 1:5-6
- Patient population includes medical, surgical, and oncology cases
- EPIC charting system used; experience with EPIC required
- Floating within scope required to meet unit needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Weekend requirement of two shifts every other weekend
- Must wear navy scrubs while on duty
- No more than 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; no time off permitted during the first week of orientation
- Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may stay a maximum of 18 months before a required 3-month break
- No parking cost for staff
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
- Certifications required: BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and Fire Safety
- Experience with medical/surgical and oncology patient care required
- EPIC experience required for consideration
- First-time travelers accepted
- Applicants must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
- Pending license considered
