Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Department and trauma care
Description:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care activities for all age groups.
Includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Performs duties and responsibilities consistent with mission, values, and service standards.
Meets unit-specific physical demands including significant bending and stooping.
Lifting and turning patients with assistance is required.
May be required to work differing schedules and shifts according to patient care requirements.
High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids may occur.
Physical demands may include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs.
Utilizes the nursing process to provide care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
Performs duties in a manner consistent with professional standards and expectations.
The facility provides recognized care including trauma and stroke services.
