Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Step-Down position requiring MO or compact license and 2 years of specialty experience.

• Work in a short-term acute care Magnet teaching hospital with Level I Trauma Center designation
• Assigned to the Telemetry/Step-Down unit with a patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Provides care to adult telemetry and step-down patients with EKG monitoring and cardiac drips
• Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30), with every other weekend required
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
• Uses Epic EMR, with Epic experience required for certain units
• Must wear navy blue scrubs
• No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract, and no time off allowed during the first week of orientation
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Holiday coverage may be required according to unit needs
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Monthly parking passes are available for a fee, with specific instructions for orientation and shift parking

• Active MO or compact state RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry/step-down nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with EKG and cardiac drips is required
• No local candidates; must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Pending license accepted for consideration
• No previous permanent employment with the facility within the past year
