About Ortho Inpatient Services:
The orthopedic inpatient unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital provides comprehensive orthopedic care delivered by Washington University specialists in a multidisciplinary setting. Patients receive coordinated treatment from surgeons, nurses, therapists, and other specialists, with support from a dedicated orthopedic concierge service to assist with non-medical needs.
About Orthopedics Outpatient Services:
The orthopedic outpatient service at Barnes-Jewish Hospital provides comprehensive musculoskeletal care through Washington University orthopedic specialists, covering areas such as joint replacement, spine, sports medicine, trauma, foot and ankle, hand, and oncology.

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
The nurse practitioner functions within their scope of practice as a healthcare provider, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients and families across practice settings. They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses commonly encountered within the inpatient setting. The nurse practitioner demonstrates an advanced level of clinical knowledge, communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice.
They work with administration staff, nurses, physicians, medical/surgical trainees, and other staff to assure safe, effective, quality patient care.
Minimum Board Certification(s):
BJH:
Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP- with appropriate experience)
Preferred Board Certification(s): BJH:
Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
