Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a MO or compact license, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of an acute care hospital
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2
• Frequent cardiac outpatient monitoring and bedside trachs and PEGs performed
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips required
• EPIC charting experience preferred and used for documentation
• Required to work 6 weekend shifts within every 6 week period
• No on-call duties assigned
• Floating may be required within scope to meet facility needs
• Navy scrubs required
• Must provide cardiac and critical care to a diverse ICU population
• Permanent employees must wait at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may stay for a maximum of 18 months and must take a 3-month break after 18 months
• No local candidates accepted within 75 miles
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per contract and no RTO during orientation week
• Orientation includes up to 16 hours of paid modules
• Parking is provided free of charge

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Experience with hemodynamics, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and bedside trachs and PEGs required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13 week contract
• First-time travelers are not accepted
