Neuro Medicine Unit (11400) - 11th Floor
Nurse Educator
The Neuro Medicine unit provides care to a diverse population with a specialty in neuro-medicine and epilepsy monitoring unit. In the EMU we work with physicians to induce and monitor patients with seizures. We also provide care to our neuro surgical patients offering an experience with both the medical and surgical population. Often our patients have multi-system clinical diagnosis’ providing our staff with a solid nursing foundation as they continue or as they start their nursing career.
On 11400 you'll get to work with a young energetic team passionate about patient care.- The nurse educator is responsible for guiding new team members through the orientation process, acting as the first point of contact after they are hired. They schedule and document touchpoints with new hires to ensure proper support and track any possible challenges during orientation. Collaboration with other educators in the neuro service line is crucial, especially in neuro-specific orientation classes. Additionally, they oversee the maintenance of departmental educational requirements and certifications for the staff to ensure everyone remains up-to-date.

Responsibilities
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates ongoing educational and professional development activities and programs for clinical and non-clinical areas.Collaborates with staff and representatives of other organizations to develop, present and or evaluate clinically focused training, continuing education and or professional development opportunities.
Participates in activities that promote safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
Collaborates with leadership to assess the educational needs of the staff and develops appropriate education plan.
Participates in professional development and life long learning.
