Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Med/Surg Tele position requiring a MO or compact RN license and BCLS and NIH certifications.
Responsibilities- Position is in a Neuro Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit of an acute care hospital
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
- Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
- Every other weekend required, with two weekend shifts per rotation
- No on-call responsibilities
- Candidates may float within scope to any unit except ICU, SDU, or ED
- EPIC is the charting system used and prior EPIC experience may be required
- Must wear navy scrubs as per dress code
- Permanent former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- Assigned holiday coverage may be required per department policy
- Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
- Candidates must complete facility-required modules prior to start
- Fit testing required, with facial hair restrictions for compliance
- Free parking is provided on-site
- All travelers may be required to float within their service line as needed
- Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- BCLS and NIH certifications required
- Minimum of 1-2 years recent Neuro Med/Surg Tele experience preferred
- EMR experience with EPIC strongly preferred
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
- First-time travelers are accepted
