Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical/Tele Oncology night shift assignment requiring EPIC experience and a MO or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Medical Surgical Oncology/Tele unit within an acute care hospital setting

• Night shifts are 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30

• Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-6

• Care for medical, surgical, and oncology patients

• Floating may be required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed

• Weekend shifts required: two shifts every other weekend, with specific days dependent on shift rotations

• Use of EPIC EMR is required

• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

• Travelers may stay for 18 months with a required 3-month break after that period

• A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is permitted per 13 week contract, with no time off allowed during the first week of orientation

• Scrub color is navy

• Parking is free for staff

• Fit testing for respiratory protection is required and facial hair must allow for proper seal

• Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start

• No local candidates are permitted within a 75-mile radius

Requirements

• Valid MO or compact RN license required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience

• Current certifications required: BCLS and NIH

• Fire safety certification required

• EPIC charting experience required

• References may be requested for consideration

• No candidates living within 75 miles of the facility

• First-time travelers are accepted
