Overview
Contract RN Psych Nurse
Schedule & Benefits- On-site orientation will be provided
- Weekly Pay
- Full-Time 12-hour shifts
- Day and Night Shift available
- 36 to 48 hours per week
- Holiday pay
- Clock in and out from your phone
- This is a full-time contract position that will start in February 2026
- Holidays shall include and be limited to the following:
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
- RN Requirements RNs must have at least one year of experience working as an RN in a psychiatric or correctional setting.
- RNs will be scheduled to work 12-hour shifts, alternating between 36 and 48 hours per week, with every other weekend off.
- Day shifts will be 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Night shifts will be 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
- All shifts will include a 30-minute break, for which the contractor shall not be paid.
- As a Registered Nurse, you will receive ongoing guidance, support, and education, providing you the opportunity to flourish as a mental health practitioner.
- You will coach and mentor Psychiatric Technicians as a charge nurse in a unit or cottage.
- Functions as a charge nurse on the assigned unit or cottage that requires close supervision; assigns and evaluates the work of other RN, LPN, direct care, and/or other staff in the care and treatment of patients.
- Serves as nursing team leader for defining and implementing the nursing care plan for assigned patients and for supervision of nursing team members.
- Conducts nursing assessments and develops nursing diagnoses and care plans; trains and evaluates nursing staff, direct care staff and nursing students.
- Administers medications and treatment as prescribed by a physician; conducts rounds with and informs physicians of patient status; receives instructions for further care and treatment.
- Performs assigned duties independently according to instructions and establishes nursing standards and procedures; supervisors review work for conformance with established policies and effectiveness of nursing procedures.
- Performs other related work as assigned.
- Licensed as an RN in the State of Missouri; CPR certification.
