Job Overview

Clinical Nurse Operating Room at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (Washington University Medical Center). The department serves 20 operating rooms with orthopedic, spine, neuro, ENT, tumor resection, liver and kidney transplant cases. You will work with world‑renowned surgeons and anesthesiologists, assist on complex procedures, and play a vital role in developing new protocols.

Base pay: $30.00/hr – $47.28/hr pay is based on skills and experience. Candidates should discuss details with their recruiter.

• 10‑ or 12‑hour shifts
• 630 AM start time
• 4‑5 weekday call shifts and 1‑2 weekend shifts per 6‑week schedule
• 1 holiday per year
• Orientation 6‑7 months

• Promote patient and family centered care. Educate patients and families on post‑treatment home care and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and professional development.
• Develop, implement and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient or caregiver.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and safe work manner.

• Minimum Requirements
• Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree (RN license required)
• No experience necessary (supported orientation)
• Full‑time employment
• Entry level

• Bachelor’s Degree, Nursing
