Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN Rehab South Nights

Overview

Mercy is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Rehab. This role utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision by personnel licensed to prescribe medication and treatment or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). The LPN maintains accountability for patient care for assigned patients and coordinates patient care with other departments while preserving patient rights and confidentiality.

Schedule:

Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Night Shift

Sign-On Bonus:
Up to $2,000 for experienced LPNs

• Provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision or direction as described above
• Maintain professional accountability for the care of assigned patients
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with other departments
• Protect patient rights and confidentiality of patient information

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED
• Licensure:
  Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; current LPN license in Missouri; meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
• Experience:
  
  New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire); LPN-IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)

• New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome

• Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
• Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance
