LPN - Outpatient Vascular Clinic

Position Details

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a state‑licensed prescriber or a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients and coordinates care in conjunction with other departments.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; consideration for comparable education, experience, and successful licensure.
• Licensure:
  Current LPN license within the hiring state and meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Experience:
  
  New or experienced LPN licensed in the hiring state.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion of a course within 30 days of hire.
• Additional Certifications (may be required): ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization), S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support), Six Assessment & Care Modules, and other unit‑specific certifications as required.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Stand/walk most of the time; significant bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds.

• Preferred Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Preferred Licensure:
  Current LPN license in the hiring state.
• Preferred Experience:
  
  New or experienced LPN licensed in the hiring state.
• Preferred
  
  Certifications:
  
  IV certification within 1 year of hire.
• Preferred
  
  Physical Requirements:
  
  Push/pull/lift 50 pounds on a regular basis; prolonged standing and walking each shift; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
