OverviewOrganizes and administers nursing service in the assigned specialty area by assisting in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of operations and patient care. Functions in staff role as needed. Assumes managerial duties as delegated by OR Manager. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in all aspects of the position. Responsible for the orientation of new coworkers and permanent team members in conjunction with the Resource Coordinator and the OR Nurse Clinician.
Supports the continuous improvement of quality and service to ensure Mercy's goal of excellence in clinical outcomes and satisfaction of those we serve. Demonstrates fairness, integrity and compassion in interactions.
- Organizes and administers nursing service in the assigned specialty area.
- Assists in planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of operations and patient care.
- Functions in staff role as needed and assumes managerial duties as delegated by OR Manager.
- Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in all aspects of the position.
- Responsible for orientation of new coworkers and team members with the Resource Coordinator and OR Nurse Clinician.
- Supports continuous improvement of quality and service to ensure excellence in clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Minimum 3 years RN OR experience.
- Graduate from an accredited RN program.
- Preferred: BSN.
- Certification: BLS through the American Heart Association.
