We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to help lead our Acute Internal Medicine Unit. The ANM is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the Nurse Manager in daily operations , clinical oversight, staff development, and ensuring high standards of patient care. The ANM will serve as a mentor, resource and clinical leader, helping to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.

Acute Care Medicine has patients with a full range of clinical issues-from significant blood dyscrasias, advanced endocrine pathology, heart and renal failure, GI conditions, infectious diseases, asthma and a multitude of other conditions and diseases. Due to the patient acuity on the nursing division, we provide advanced training to bring new nurses to the highest level of functioning. Each unit is lead by a clinical manager and lead charge nurse.
The unit is supported by an advanced practice nurse. Additionally each unit is assigned a case manager, social worker, physical therapist, dietitian, and pharmacist. This multidisiplinary team works in conjunction with the physicians, nurses and patient care technicians to provide quality patient care.
Role Purpose
The Assistant Nurse Manager provides administrative support to Nurse Managers and direct reports. This includes coordinating patient care, performance management of direct reports, equipment purchasing/management, and statistical accumulation.
Responsibilities
evaluate and conduct performance reviews as assigned; draft and issue corrective actions/coaching; follow up regarding any disciplinary action to determine compliance.
