Missouri Baptist Medical Center is an acute care hospital in St. Louis County offering a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women’s and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24‑hour adult emergency department and a separate pediatric emergency department in partnership with St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Under the direction of the manager, plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a unit on a designated shift. Performs direct patient care as needed and serves as a clinical resource to nursing and support staff. Assesses, plans, evaluates, and documents the nursing process for the assigned unit as required.
Responsibilities- Facilitate identification and resolution of gaps in care from hospitalization through discharge and into ambulatory care.
- Lead the development and implementation of complex individual care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team and the patient, family, or caregiver.
- Champion evidence‑based practice through participation in journal clubs, practice change initiatives, and knowledge dissemination.
- Analyze gaps in practice standards and provide feedback to peers and leadership to enhance patient safety.
- Lead evaluation of patient and family experience, adjusting care to improve satisfaction and quality.
- Maintain constant alertness and perform job functions safely in a safety‑sensitive position.
- Education:
Nursing Diploma, Associate’s, or RN license. - Experience:
2–5 years as a registered nurse. - Supervisor
Experience:
No prior supervisory experience required. - Licenses &
Certifications:
Current RN license.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. - Experience:
5–10 years as a registered nurse.
