ICU is a 36-bed unit providing excellent care for critically ill patients post-surgery, from the emergency department, or other care divisions. Intensivists, specialized physicians in critical care, coordinate the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient care in the ICU. Surgeons collaborate with intensivists to monitor patient care.

The Surgical/Burn/Trauma ICU is a 36-bed unit focusing on trauma, burn victims, organ transplants, and complex surgeries. Responsibilities include assisting with invasive procedures, monitoring, and developing evidence-based protocols to optimize patient outcomes.
Preferred QualificationsRole Purpose
Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.
Responsibilities
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educate on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and compliance. Engage in professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document care plans collaboratively with the team, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
- Assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement.
- This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work alertly and safely is essential.
