Director, Newborn Intensive Care

Overview

As a nursing leader, the Director will oversee all activities within the newborn intensive service line, ensuring high quality, efficient patient care and fostering a culture of teamwork among nursing, medical, and support personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Manages staff onboarding, hiring, training, workload management, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Analyzes financial performance and makes plans to positively impact results.
  • Sets department priorities in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Analyzes trends and statistics to promote efficient resource utilization and quality improvement.
  • Plans, develops, and directs operations of newborn intensive services and integrates them with other departments.
  • Ensures effective coordination and collaboration with chiefs of medical staff.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare related field
  • 5–10 years of nursing experience
  • 2–5 years of supervisory experience
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience directing newborn intensive care services.
  • Strong leadership in fostering teamwork among nursing, medical, and support personnel.
