OverviewUtilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care using the nursing process.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
- Assist in evaluating and supporting other caregivers’ effectiveness.
- Document and report patient information accurately.
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- Current RN license in the state or compact licensure and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Experience in an EP lab or related clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion within 30 days of hire.
- Additional certifications may be required: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E.
