Role

Pre-Admission Center Nurse Practitioner

Location(s):
Barnes Jewish Hospital - Main Campus;
Center for Advanced Medicine - South County;
Orthopedic Center - West County

Responsibilities
  • Participates in professional development
  • Manages the health care of patient populations with compassion through advanced health assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician. Prescriptive responsibilities are reviewed by a collaborative physician.
  • Coordinates the care of patient populations, in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician, to promote health and wellness through education of patients and families, coordination of services and placing referrals.
  • Assesses development needs of staff and develops and delivers appropriate educational programs to meet staff needs.
  • Develops treatment plans and treats patients with acute problems including illnesses and minor injuries following a predetermined protocol in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.
Minimum Requirements

    Master s Degree, Nursing (Accredited NP Program)
  • Experience:

  • Licenses &

    Certifications:

    Nurse Practitioner, RN
Preferred Requirements
  • Education:

    Doctorate, Nursing
  • Experience:

    2-5 years

Location and Hours
  • 4/10-hour shifts
  • 7:30A to 6:00P M-F
  • Primary location Barnes Jewish Hospital; work at secondary location 1-2 times per month
  • No call, holidays or weekends
  • Position offers work/life balance, no charting or calls after hours
  • Orientation: 6 - 8 months for early career nurses, 3 months for experienced nurses
  • Rate of pay listed is based on a 40 hour per week schedule
Compensation

Base pay range: $95,700.80/yr - $/yr

Pay range provided by Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Actual pay based on skills and experience; talk with recruiter to learn more.
