Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Neuro Med/Surg Tele position requiring a MO or compact license and experience with EPIC charting.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting on a Neuro Med/Surg Telemetry unit

• Patient ratio is 1 nurse to 6 patients

• Day shift with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30

• Every other weekend required with two shifts on weekends

• Floating may be required within hospital units, except ICU, SDU, and ED

• EPIC is the charting system used and experience is required

• Primary responsibility is providing care to neuro medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring

• Floating may occur within the service line, but not to ICU, SDU, or ED

• Navy scrubs are required while on duty

• No on-call requirement for this role

• Free parking is available on site

• No locals accepted within a 75-mile radius

• Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler

• A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is permitted per 13-week contract, with no time off allowed during the first week

• Fit testing is required for mask compliance; facial hair must allow for proper testing

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required

• BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required

• At least 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele or Neuro Tele experience preferred

• Experience working with EPIC EMR required

• Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility

• First-time travelers are accepted
