Description:
This position is auto-offered.
The facility department is a neurologic intensive care unit.
The position involves providing direct patient care activities for all age groups.
Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
You will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
You must function within the scope of nursing preparation and established guidelines.
The expected patient care involves the management of neuro, trauma, and surgical patients.
You will ensure patient rights and confidentiality of patient information are maintained.
Physical requirements include standing and walking most of the time on duty.
You may be required to lift, turn, and assist patients.
You may work differing schedules, shifts, and days of the week according to patient care requirements.
There is a high risk of exposure to blood and body fluids.
The unit has 16 beds with a patient ratio that may vary based on circumstances.
The facility focuses on excellence and accountability within the team.
You will evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers.
