Psych - Registered Nurse
LocationSt. Louis, MO 63112
Duration06 Months to Long-Term
Schedule06:00 AM to 6:30 PM | 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM (36-48 Hours/Week)
Role & Responsibilities- Provide bedside and general nursing care; take and record pulse, blood pressure, respiration, and temperature; apply dressing and bandages; etc.
- Provide direct nursing care including physical care and emotional support.
- Participate in performing nursing assessments to identify the strengths and nursing care needs of consumers.
- Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing plans based on nursing assessment; participating in nursing diagnoses; implement nursing components of master treatment plan.
- Give medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
- Document and describe nursing care provided as well as observations and interventions that contribute to continuity of care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Assist a physician with special procedures and treatments.
- Perform other related work as required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS Certification.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an RN in a psychiatric and/or correctional setting.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a traveling RN.
