LPN GIG - Flex/Per Diem/PRN - Mercy Washington and Surrounding Communities

Mercy is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse for flexible gig positions across multiple Mercy hospitals in Washington and surrounding communities. This role offers a competitive hourly rate, variable shift incentives, and the freedom to choose your schedule. No guaranteed shift hours – you will be responsible for meeting minimum hour requirements and remaining flexible for short‑notice shifts.

Position Details

• Status: PRN/Per Diem/Flex/Float
• Shift: Various Shifts Available
• Hourly Rate: $30/hour + Variable Shift Incentive
• Hours: Minimum 12 hours every 90 days; maximum 30 hours a week (Sun‑Sat)
• Shift Length: 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts available
• Employment Type: W‑2 Employee

Overview Your responsibilities will include providing patient care under the supervision of licensed prescribers or a Registered Professional Nurse. You will be responsible for the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Additionally, you will coordinate care with other departments, uphold patient rights, and maintain confidentiality.

• Mercy Southeast – Cape Girardeau, MO
• Mercy Stoddard – Dexter, MO

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; an equivalent education and licensure will be considered. Must hold and maintain a current LPN license in the state where duties are performed.
• Experience: One year recent bedside LPN experience in Med‑Surg; for ED, ICU or other specialties, a minimum of two years recent bedside LPN experience.
• Certifications:
  • Med‑Surg: BLS
  • Critical Care: BLS, ACLS
  • ED: BLS, ACLS, & PALS
  • IV certification required.
• Preferred: Epic experience.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, lift 50 pounds regularly; prolonged standing and walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
