Job Summary

This position involves working 8-hour shifts that rotate (Day & Night or First, Second, and Third shifts) on a regular basis, including weekends and holidays. Under supervision, you will safely and efficiently operate and control chemical processes to deliver in-spec products. You will operate processes and equipment to meet production schedules and deliver finished goods as directed.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor dispersion, centrifugation, classifying, and sludge disposal processes and equipment according to standard operating instructions.
• Provide guidance and training to new operators.
• Clean process equipment as required or directed.
• Inspect all related and ancillary equipment and instrumentation for proper operation and accuracy.
• Control and monitor processes such as flash drying, dewatering, and classifying, along with associated equipment.
• Operate and monitor boiler, drying, raw material unloading, and packaging processes and equipment per instructions.

Job Competencies

• Understanding of safety procedures, including proper protective gear and emergency response.
• Deep knowledge of machinery operation, adjustment, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent time management skills to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Adaptability to change and new processes.

Decision Making

Stop Work Authority: team members must stop work if unsafe conditions or errors are identified.

Requirements

• Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment.
• Ability to take process samples, make adjustments, and monitor equipment visually and analytically.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2-5 years experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, squat, bend, twist, reach overhead, and lift up to 55 pounds.

Salary & Benefits

Base pay is $29.89/hour plus benefits such as health, life insurance, 401K, and vacation.
