CNC Machining Specialist

Day in the Life — St. Louis, MO

You arrive at our St. Louis facility ready to turn drawings into precision parts. Your shift begins by reviewing job travelers and blueprints, choosing tools, and setting up a mix of manual and CNC equipment. As parts run, you watch feeds, speeds, and finishes like a hawk—making offsets and fine-tuning until the results meet print and quality standards. Between jobs, you keep machines in top condition, your workbench organized, and collaborate with teammates on smarter, safer ways to build.

• Set up and run lathes, mills, and CNC machines to produce components to specification.
• Translate blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications into an efficient machining plan.
• Monitor operations, adjust parameters, and verify quality throughout each run.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Keep your area clean and compliant with safety protocols and best practices.
• Share ideas with the team to streamline workflows and boost throughput.
• Record production data and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation.

• High school diploma or equivalent; machining certificates or a technical degree are a plus.
• Hands-on experience as a machinist with solid knowledge of machining fundamentals.
• Comfort reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with CNC programming and operation is strongly preferred.
• A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality output.
• Strong problem-solving skills; effective both independently and within a team.
• Working knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
